Duck Hunter BY ARNOLD BLANCH
ARNOLD BLANCH was born at Mantorville, Minnesota, on June 4, 1896.
After some work al the Minneapolis School of Fine he came to New
York, and studied with Kenneth Hayes Miller at the Art League.
He also went to Sloan, Henri, and F. Luis Mora for instruction. He looked around Europe, and haunted the great galleries, but without it affecting his style invidiously. In 1933 he received a Guggenheim fellowship for creative work in painting. He teaches painting and drawing at the Art Students’ League.

Duck Hunter is somewhat autobiourauhical. for the artist loves the sport.
Even the cold, murky mornings that in the annals of duck-
