BY JOHN STEUART CURRY
Only those who have watched the cycle of growing corn
and have helped in its planting ,and threshing ,
can have a true sense of the majesty of the grain.
Curry, who has worked with corn at every stage of his career
and who likes nothing better than a good roasting ear
has devoted this Lithograph to an intimate study of ripe corn
Rarely does an artist take us into the field ,for a close up of this sort.
The result is magical, for the rows of stocks can be
as impressives as the aisles of a great church
The original ,Oil painting ,from which this Lithograph was made
hangs in the Witchita Art Association.
